Panhard is a French company founded in Paris in 1845 as Perrin, later Perrin-Panhard, then Panhard & Levassor and, finally, Panhard. Together with Peugeot, Panhard & Levassor is the oldest French factory of vehicles with internal combustion engines. It was established as a car manufacturing concern by René Panhard and Émile Levassor in 1887.
