The formula of the 1962 Iso Rivolta GT, a top class, high performancefour-seater with a chassis conceived by Giotto Bizzarrini and a V8 5.3 litre Chevrolet Corvette engine, was followed up in April 1969 at the New York Auto Show, where the Rivolta-Bertone combination debuted with a new prototype, subsequently dubbed Lele at the Frankfurt Show in September. Production was started in March 1970 (the car illustrated is the first prototype) and stopped at the end of 1974, with a total of 316 units delivered.
