Bristol cars were described as “the ultimate in discerning transport for the ultimate in the discerning purchaser”. This cabriolet bodied 400 is
one of just three chassis sent by Bristol to Pinin Farina in Turin to be bodied with this exclusive cabriolet body.
It was sold in 1950 to its first owner, Peter Bolton, (UK racing driver) and then re-purchased and kept as his personal transport by Peter Bolton for over 40 years. Peter competed in 10 24 Heures du Mans and 20 Monte Carlo Rallies in his career.
